Chicago Public League Game of the Week

In order to generate more exposure for Chicago Public Schools, its teachers and student athletes, we created a ten-game high school basketball series showcasing the top teams of the Chicago Public School League Basketball Conference. The games were broadcast live on WTTW (PBS) every week beginning in January of 2003. The games were played at various locations throughout Chicago with the Championship game taking place at the United Center. McDonalds, Chevrolet, US Cellular, Aerial Mutual Funds, Robert Morris College, and Calamos Investments were secured as sponsors for this series. The CPS Game of the Week Series averaged above a 1.0 HH ration in 2003 and 2004 and generated significant exposure for the Chicago Public Schools while showcasing some of the finest High School Basketball in the nation.
