OVERVIEW:
Seeking a full-time Sales Representative for its new high school sports website that will cover 12 high schools in Chicago’s northern suburbs. Website set to launch in November, 2009.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Responsible for assisting in the activities, operations and research of Paragon’s high school website division as they relate to Paragon’s initiatives; and provides general assistance and support to the high school website program. Primary duty will entail door to door sales to local businesses with a small percentage of time in the office addressing administrative tasks relating to such sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Research local businesses
· Prepare sponsorship presentations for local businesses
· Go into the field and conduct sell-in presentations to local businesses
· Develop and maintain sales and promotional materials
· Maintain sales activity records and reports
· Monitor competitors and market conditions
· Negotiate terms of agreement and close sales
· Perform other duties as assigned by Paragon Management
Qualifications:
- Communicate clearly and concisely, including oral, written and audio/visual presentations
- Display sound organizational skills and computer literacy
- Prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects
- Demonstrate strong people skills
- Analyze and assess programs, initiatives, policies and needs and make appropriate adjustments
- Follow directions and meet deadlines
- Respond to new opportunities and adapt quickly to shifting conditions
- Exhibit a professional demeanor and compelling customer service attitude
- Display a high-level of energy and dependable, strong work ethic
- Basic knowledge of most sports
- College enrollment or college degree required; preferably in the field of marketing, television production, advertising, sports management or business
- Occasional lifting of light to moderate weight objects
- Extensive local and occasional domestic travel (valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID required)
